About Jyoti Nivas College
Sisters of St. Joseph Tarbes founded the Jyoti Nivas College in 1966 as Christian Minority College for women. But this women's College in India encourages students from other communities also to take admission in the college, as it is committed to provide liberal education to all. Jyoti Nivas College provides courses in Science, arts and commerce. It is affiliated to the Bangalore University.

It has separate courts for basketball, football, cricket, hockey, throw ball and tennis. Degree Courses: Jyoti Nivas College offers three years Bachelors degree courses in Science, Arts and Commerce streams. It also offers B.B.M, B.C.A and B.A. Vocational degrees.
(B)Postgraduate Courses:The postgraduate courses are offered in M.A. (English Literature) and M.C.A. (Master of Computer Applications).
Eligibility for Admission to Courses
Eligibility for Admission to the Degree Courses: For admission to the Bachelor degree courses at Jyoti Nivas College candidates need to pass the P.U.C or any other equivalent examination with at least 50% marks ( 60% for outside students).
Eligibility for Admission to the Post Graduate courses: For admission to the post graduate course in Jyoti Nivas College candidates need to pass the bachelor degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 55% marks in Optional English in all three years together or 60% in general
English for 2 years together.
