Candidates must pass the 10+2 examination of 2009 from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or other Boards/Councils, including National Open School.

- Physics Hons: Aggregate 60% + 60% in Physics and 55%
- Chemistry Hons: Aggregate 65% + 60% in Chemistry, 45% in Mathematics and 45% in Physics
- Physics Hons: Aggregate 60% + 60% in Physics and 55% in Mathematics
- Mathematics Hons: Aggregate 50% + 60% in Mathematics, Pass in Chemistry & Physics
For applying to B.A.:
- Bengali Hons: Aggregate 50% + 50% (Gr. A) / 60% (Gr. B)in Bengali
- English Hons: Aggregate 55% + English 55% (45% for candidates with English as 1st language in WBHSE)
- Philosophy Hons: Aggregate 50% + 50% in Philosophy / 45% in English (Gr. B) / 40% in English (Gr. A)
Jogmaya Devi College Admission Procedure
- Preliminary Application forms for admission to UG courses can be downloaded from the college's website.
- Candidates can also buy the college prospectus and application form from the College office by paying Rs 70. For extra Preliminary application forms, the candidate needs to pay Rs 20 each.
- Preliminary Application forms will be available from 02.06.09 to 09.06.09.
- Completed application forms can be submitted to the college office from02.06.09 to 10.06.09.
- Candidates must submit an attested copy of their +2 mark sheet along with the Preliminary application form.
- SC / ST / Physically Handicapped candidates need to submit the attested copies of their relevant certificates. Reservations of seats are followed according to government norms.
- Admission to the new session will begin from 17.06.09.
- The merit as well as the waiting lists of Honours / Major courses will be published in the college's new building on 16.06.09 at 11am.
- Admission forms will be issued to the eligible candidates in the published list from 20.06.08.
- All admissions are provisional.
- Direct admission will be provided to eligible candidates on production of their original mark sheet on 02.06.09 between 7am-10am.
- 22.5% and 5% of the total seats are reserved for SC and ST candidates, respectively. No government order is there for the reservation seats of OBC candidates.
