Manindra Chandra College Admisssion Eligibility
- The student applying for any UG Course in this college must pass the WBCHSE / ISC / CBSE (+2) or any other equivalent examination from any other recognized Council/Board/University.
- Must pass in five recognized subjects (of full marks: 100).
- Candidates seeking admission in any Honours course need to fulfill all the criteria as per the college and the Calcutta University.

For applying to B.A.:
- Bengali Hons: Aggregate 45% + 50% (Gr. A) / 60% (Gr. B)in Bengali
- English Hons: Aggregate 50% + English 55% (45% for candidates with English as 1st language in WBHSE)
- History Hons: Aggregate 50% + 45% in History or 40% in English (Gr. A)/ 45% in English (Gr. B)
- Political Science Hons: Aggregate 50% + 45% in Pol. Science / 45% in English (Gr. B) / 40% in English (Gr. A)
- Philosophy Hons: Aggregate 45% + 50% in Philosophy / 45% in English (Gr. B) / 40% in English (Gr. A)
For applying to B. Sc.:
- Chemistry Hons: Aggregate 65% + 60% in Chemistry, 45% in Mathematics and 45% in Physics
- Physics Hons: Aggregate 60% + 60% in Physics and 55% in Mathematics
- Economics Hons: Aggregate 55% + 45% in Math (Business Mathematics is not eligible)
- Zoology Hons: Aggregate 60% + 60% in Biology & Pass in Chemistry
- Mathematics Hons: Aggregate 52.5% + 60% in Mathematics, Pass in Chemistry & Physics
- Statistics Hons: Aggregate 55% + 55% in Math/Statistics
- Botany Hons: Aggregate 60% + 60% in Biology and Pass in Chemistry
- Microbiology Hons: Aggregate 60% + 60% in Biology and 60% in Chemistry
For applying to B. Com.:
- Must have 50% aggregate with 45% marks in individual subjects

- Candidates from any caste and religion can seek admission to this college.
- Candidates can buy the application form for admission from the College office.
- The application form is available after the result of WBCHSE is published.
- The documents that are required at the time of admission are as follows:
- Original mark sheet of +2 exam
- Admit card of the last passed exam
- Transfer Certificates for those students who are coming from other institution
- Migration Certificate for candidates coming from other Boards/Councils/Universities
- Original SC /ST Certificate for candidates belonging to that category
- Two passport size photographs
- Admission of SC/ ST students is as per the rules laid by the Government.
