Cut off percentage for B.A Honours Courses
English: 60% marks in aggregate and 60% marks in subject (55% marks for H.S English - A). Admission Test will be held in the 3rd week of June, 2009.
Bengali: 50% in Aggregate + 50% in Bengali (Those having Bengali as First Language preferred)
History: 60% in aggregate and subject
Political Science: 50% in aggregate and subject
Education: 50% in aggregate and subject
Sociology: 50% in aggregate and subject or related subject
Geography: 65% in aggregate and subjects
Major (Communicative English): 50% in aggregate and subject (English)
To be Noted
The S.C. & S.T candidates must have a minimum of 40% in aggregate and 40 % in the subject. Reservation of seats for the S.C / S.T Candidates is 22% and 6% respectively.
Rani Birla Girls College Application Procedures
- The application forms are sold from the college and they can also be downloaded online.
- Application Forms have to be submitted by 16th June, 2009 otherwise they will be considered rejected.
- The Admission Form must be attached with 2 photocopies of the marksheet of the Higher Secondary Examination attested by the Principal of the school last attended.
- Adding to that are 1 photocopy of the admit card and age proof certificate duly attested by the Principal and the blood group certificate.
- The lists of the selected candidates for admission are published in the College Notice. The result can also be downloaded from college website.
Rani Birla Girls College Important Dates
Application Forms have to be purchased from the college counter from 1st week of June (approx), 2009. Last date of submitting the application forms is 2nd or 3rd week of June 2009(approx). The last date for submission of the forms is also the same.
