About Shikshayatan College, Kolkata
Shri Shikshayatan College was established at the initiative of Shri Sitaram Seksaria and Shri Bhagirath Kanoria in 1955. Although it is a linguistic minority educational institution of the Marwari Community, Shikhayatan College admits girls from all communities irrespective of caste, class, caste or religion. It is administered and managed by the Marwari Balika Vidyalaya Society and affiliated to the . The academic session at this girl's college of Kolkata starts in the month of July. It offers undergraduate courses in all the three streams-arts, science and commerce.
Facilities at Sri Shikshayatan College
Sri Shikshyatan College also encourages the students to take part in various co- curricular and extra curricular activities. It has a basketball court and a games room equipped with facilities for carom, table tennis and chessboard. Yoga classes are also offered to the interested students.

The B.Ed course is affiliated to the N.C.T.E. Eastern Region, Bhubaneshwar.The Honours and General Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree is offered in Bengali, Education, English, Hindi, History and philosophy. The B.Sc degree is offered in Botany, Economics, Geography, Mathematics, Zoology & Chemistry.
In 2003 the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) awarded Shri Shikshayatan College with B+ level. The admission process at the College starts in the month of May.
