About Shri Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain College
Shri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College, or SBMJC, as it is popularly known, was set up in 1990 with the vision of providing wholesome education to the youth so that they can develop emotional stability and face the challenges of the future with confidence and courage. It is located in Bangalore or what is known as the IT capital of India. SBMJC is affiliated to the Bangalore University.
The College pays attention to the overall development of the personality of the students and they are actively encouraged to participate in various co- curricular and extra- curricular activities.
Facilities at SBMJC
At SBMJC they have the choice to become an NCC cadet, an NSS volunteer, or they can also work with international clubs like The Rotaract Club and the Toastmaster's club. The sports department of SBMJC avail the facilities for Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Tennis, cricket and swimming.
The laboratories, computer center, library, seminar hall seminar hall and auditorium of the college are well equipped to meet the needs of the students. For its consistent good performance Shri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College has become the youngest college in Bangalore to be accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
Courses at SBMJC:
Shri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College offers Higher Secondary Courses in all the three streams-Science, Arts and Commerce. One can pursue various undergraduate courses from SBMJC including Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) and Bachelor of Business Management (BBM). The postgraduate courses at Shri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College are offered in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Physics, MS-Communication and Economics. The evening College at SBMJC offers various job-oriented diploma courses apart from providing Higher Secondary courses in Commerce and Arts and Bachelor degree in Commerce.
