About IIJNM
Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media (IIJNM) was established in January 2001. IIJNM is located in Bangalore and spreads across 5 acres of landscaped grounds bounded by rolling hills. The institute was founded by the BS & G Foundation, which is a non-profit Trust committed to supporting democratic values and institutions in India. The curriculum at Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media combines theory and practical sessions to prepare its students for leading positions in the media industry.

Admissions at Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media, Bangalore:
1. Eligibility for PG Diploma at IIJNM:
For admissions to One-year Postgraduate Diploma, applicants have to have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Students awaiting their final year examination results may also apply.
For admissions to One-year Diploma program, the applicant who have completed or awaiting results for pre-university or +2 are eligible to apply.
2. Admission Procedure at Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media
- For admissions to the Diploma Programs, applicants are required to complete and submit the application form within a stipulated time.
- The next step includes a personal interview
- Notification and acceptance of admission by the Admission Committee of the institute.

At the end of the every academic year, the institute organizes recruitment sessions on the campus. Resumes of all students are posted on an IIJNM website and different media related organizations are informed about the availability status of all the students who seek employment.

The diploma programs are of one year duration. The academic year will commence on July 20, 2009, and end on May 1, 2010. Applications should be received by the Institute by June 25, 2009. Candidates who are selected will be informed by June 30, 2009.
Early applications are taken into consideration from January to March 31, 2009. Early applicants will be informed of temporary acceptance by May 15, 2009. Admissions will be subject to qualifying test results.
