Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore was founded in the year 1996 as a constituent of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. This management school was earlier called Amrita Institute of Management. Apart from a 2 year MBA program, Amrita School of Business (ASB) also offers a Doctoral Program in Management. In the 2006 issue of Outlook magazine, it was ranked as one of the Top 21 Private Business Schools in India.

ASB offers a two year, full-time MBA program. It is an autonomous residential program, which is recognized and approved by the AICTE and UGC. The curriculum combines academic excellence along with business relevance. Specializations offered at this B-School include Marketing, Finance, Systems, Operations and HR.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a reputed college are eligible to apply for the two year, full-time MBA program at Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore.
Candidates appearing for their final year of the Bachelor’s degree examinations can also apply provided they complete their examinations before 30th June 2009.
Minimum Cut off marks in graduation exam is 50%. Students with good CAT scores are also eligible to apply.
Selection Process
For admissions to MBA Program at Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore, candidates have to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the IIMs.
Candidates short-listed on the basis of their CAT score will be called for a Personal Interview.
After clearing the Personal Interview, selected candidates will be intimidated so that they can pay the first fee installment within ten days from the day of intimation of their final selection.
The last date of submitting the application form is 28th February 2009.
