Eligibility Criteria for Admission to LIBA:
Loyola Institute of Business Administration in Chennai has separate eligibility criteria for admission to various courses.
- Full-time PGDM: For admissions to full-time PGDM course, candidates have to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university (AIU) and secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Candidate in their final year of Bachelor's degree/equivalent course are also eligible to apply. If selected, candidates will be allowed to join the PGDM program only upon submission of a provisional certificate latest by June 8, 2009 from the Principal or Registrar of the concerned college stating that the student has completed all the necessary procedures.
- Part-time PGDM: For admissions to a part-time PGDM course, candidates have to graduate in any discipline from a recognized university (AIU) and secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Candidate may also hold a professional qualification, which is recognized as equivalent to a Bachelors degree. Candidates are required to have full time work experience in Industry / Government sector/ Business for at least two years. Candidates have to be employed at the time of applying for the part-time PGDM program.
- Ph.D in Business Administration- For admissions to the Ph.D. Degree in Business Administration, only First class post graduates in Management or associated disciplines can apply.
Selection Procedure at Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Chennai:

- Full-time PGDM: Candidates having applied for the Full-time PGDM Program will be short-listed only on the basis of XAT scores. Short-listed candidates shall be called for a Group Discussion (GD) and an interview.
- Part-time PGDM: Admission procedure for the Part-time PGDM Program comprises a written test, which is followed by a round of group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI) held at Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Chennai.
- Ph.D in Business Administration: Candidates who are selected by LIBA and approved by the University of Madras will be allowed to work as Research Associates at the institute and will be given a monthly stipend during the course of Ph. D program.
The final date of online registration for 2009 admission is November 30, 2008.
