Introduction
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is one of the best universities in Delhi. It was established in the year 1998 by the Government of NCT of Delhi. It is approved by University Grants Commission of India under the section 12B of UGC Act. The university is running about 50 programs in its more than 80 Affiliated Colleges and Schools of Studies. The university has got 'A Grade' accreditation by NAAC. The campus of the university is spread over about 16 acres of area at Kashmere Gate. The most crowded areas in Delhi like Daryagani and Chandni Chowk are located near the university.

The aim of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is to promote and facilitate research, studies and extension work in higher education and professional education in various disciplines of technology, management, engineering, law, mass communication, journalism, architecture, education, pharmacy, medicine, nursing, medicine and physiotherapy. The university offers various under-graduate and post-graduate courses such as B.Tech, MCA, M.Sc. in Environment Management, Forensic Science, Criminology, BRT, M.Tech, B. Arch, MPT, BPT, BBA, BCA, B. Sc, Nursing, BASLP, BHMS, MAHM, MBBS, PhD etc. The admission procedure to these courses follows common entrance test.
Extracurricular activities in GGSIPU
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is a home to numerous extra-curricular activities including Indraprastha Colloquium, seminars, workshops and conferences. 'U-Focus' and 'Adamya' are the magazines published by the university. Exuberance is the cultural festival arranged by the University School of Management Studies. Anugoonj is the annual cultural program arranged by the university. Various sport events are also conducted by GGSIPU.
