Daulat Ram College Delhi
INTRODUCTION
This Girl’s College at the heart of the North Campus, Delhi University came into existence in 1960. It was originally known as Pramila College. Later the College was renamed after the famous educationist Daulat Ram Gupta. Daulat Ram College with its dedicated and qualified faculty has over the years established itself as a premier women’s college of the University of Delhi. It offers undergraduate courses in all the three streams-arts, science and commerce. The college has 19 departments and an enrolment of more than 2000 students.
Special attention is paid for the all round development of the girls at Daulat Ram. To this end various extra curricular activities and teacher student interaction is encouraged.
The library of Daulat Ram College is well equipped and it also provide fine hostel facility to 125 outstation students.

Admission in Daulat Ram College
Admission to Undergraduate Programme:
Admission to under graduate programme in Daulat Ram College depends upon the percentage of marks obtained in 10+2 or its equivalent. In order to get admitted to the B. Com (Hons) and B.A. (Hons) or B. Sc. (Hons) one needs to have the required cut-off marks that is declared every year by the college. The minimum age for admission to first year degree courses in Daulat Ram College is 17 years before 1st of October of the year in which she is seeking admission. The college also reserves seat for students in the sports quota.
Admission to Post Graduate Programme: For admission to the postgraduate programme in Daulat Ram College candidates first need to register themselves with the respective faculty of the University of Delhi. The students should be of 20 years of age for getting admitted in the Masters programme. The College offers tutorial classes for the postgraduate programme that will supplement the lectures at the University.

Under Graduate Courses: Daulat Ram College offers B.A. (Hons) courses in English, Economics, Hindi, Sanskrit, Political science, Philosophy, Psychology, History, and Music.
It also offers B.A. (pass) course. Its B.Sc. (Hons) courses include Biochemistry, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. The under graduate courses of Daulat Ram College also include B.Com (H) and B.Com (Pass) course.
Post Graduate Courses: At the Masters level Daulat ram College allows students to take admission in English, Hindi, Sanskrit, History, Political Science, Psychology and Vocal and Instrumental Music department
