Eligibility Criteria
- To get admission in MBA distance course you must have a BBA degree or a Bachelors degree on any discipline.
- If you are seeking admission in MCA distance course of the university, you must have studied core mathematics at +2level or Mathematics/ Statistics or any Computer Oriented subject during your Bachelor course.
- For Admission in M.Sc, a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics / Computer Science/ Information Technology / Software Engineering / Physics / Statistics / Chemistry or other relevant fields is compulsory.
The Application procedure of Distance Education Admissions
- The Application form can be bought from the university office by submitting a demand draft of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) in favor of the directorate of Online and Distance Education, Anna University, Coimbatore, GCT Campus.
- If you have downloaded the application form from the University website, you have to send the filled form along with Demand Draft.
Important points to be noted
- You can send a single application no matter how many online entrance tests you would appear in.
- You have to produce copy of the relevant provisional / degree certificate during the admission by August 2009
- When appearing in the online test, you need to produce the original and one set of photocopies of school leaving and college leaving certificate and degree certificate.
- Cost of application in person, by downloading the application form online or by applying online is Rs 650 via DD. If one applies by post, the cost of application is Rs, 700.
DEET: Distance Education Entrance Test 2009
- The university makes an assessment of the students by taking the Entrance Tests conducted separately for MBA, MCA and M.Sc degree programmes.
- The admission is based on the ranks obtained by the students appeared in DEET 2009.
Fee Details
Apart from a refundable deposit of Rs.5000 and an admission fee of Rs.1150, you have to pay Rs.12,
500 in 3 equal installments for any of the above mentioned courses.
Entrance Examination dates
MSc written exam is on 11.07.2009 from 2 p.m to 4 p.m.
MBA written exam is on 12.07.2009. from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
MCA written exam is on 12.07.2009 from 2.p.m. to 4 p.m.
Online application form can be downloaded on 29th May 2009. The deadline for the request for application form is 10th June 2009. The deadline for submission of the application form is 24th June 2009.
