Imparting education through the online process is steadily catching up as an extremely popular method of pursuing various courses. Working professionals who want to pursue higher studies without having to quit their jobs find online education extremely convenient. The study materials and the assignments are all sent to the students online and they can also attend lectures through live streaming. However, online courses are yet to penetrate deeper in India as the UNICEF report says that only 4 people out of 100 in India have access to the Internet. Despite the fact that there are not many online universities in India, online courses are offered by open universities alongside distance learning courses and some traditional educational institutes.
