Admissions Open: Satellite Courses at XLRI

New Delhi: XLRI Jamshedpur, regarded as one of the premier business schools in India offers satellite courses on "Postgraduate Certificate in Business Management" (PGCBM), "Postgraduate Certificate in Human Resource Management" (PGCHRM), “Postgraduate Certificate in Industrial & Labour Law Management" (PGCILL), “Postgraduate Certificate in Retail Management" (PGCRM) and “Postgraduate Certificate in Sales & Marketing Management" (PGCSMM). The duration of these courses is of 12 months and the last date of receipt of application form is 5th September 2008. These courses are meant for those working professionals/executives to complete their management education while still being in service or engaged in some other activities.
As the name sugests, the XLRI saltellite courses are delivered by broadband infrastructure to deliver real time, synchronous, live education to all the participating students. However, one should not consider it as correspondence course and it also involves one visit of 5-7 days to the Institute. Teaching is done from the XLRI studio and students are supposed to come at a pre-fixed time at the learning centers. One disadvantage that the candidates may have is the lack of library facilities. But the courses seem to have penetrated well in the market as more than1500 candidates have successfully completed the satellite courses at XLRI till now.
