Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka, COMED-K UGET 2007 |

Karnataka Private Medical and Dental Colleges Association and Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association have formed the Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges, COMEDK in India. It is entrusted with the job of conducting a common entrance test for admission to various participating colleges in the state of Karnataka. COMED K 2007 will fill up 40% MBBS Seats, 35% of the BDS seats and 55% of the engineering seats of the participating colleges.

Eligibility for MBBS and BDS Courses:
For getting admitted to the MBBS and BDS courses of participating colleges under the COMED-K candidates need to pass the qualifying 10+2 or its equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) and also a minimum of 50% in the COMED K UGET 2007.
However for admission to the MBBS course SC/ST candidates need to secure a minimum of 40% marks in both the qualifying and the entrance examination.
Eligibility for B.E. Courses: For admission to B.E. Course of the participating Colleges under COMEDK the minimum qualification is 50 % marks in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry (or Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology or Electronics in lieu of Chemistry) of 10+2 or its equivalent examination ( 40% for SC /ST and Karnataka OBC Candidates)
Application procedure: For appearing in the COMEDK UGET 2007 candidates need to fill up the online application form available in the following website. www.comedk.org
Submission of the Application Form of COMED-K UGET 2007: Candidates should send a demand draft of Rs. 600/ for MBBS/BDS (PCB) or B.E,(PCM) courses and Rs. 800 for MBBS/BDS and B.E.(PCMB) courses drawn in favor of COMED K 2007 payable at Bangalore along with the duly filled in application form. They are also required to enclose a copy of Date of Birth Certificate/identity proof duly attested by the head of the Institute last studied and additional passport size photograph mentioning name and application number on the back side of the photograph. The duly filled application form along with the enclosures should reach the Executive Secretary, COMEDK , Ramanashree chambers, Lady Curzon Road Bangalore 560001, Karnataka on or before 7th April 2007.

Date of COMEDK UGET 2007: 6th May, 2007
Date of Issuing of online Application form for B.Arch: 11th April 2007.
Last date of receipt of B.Arch application form: 15th June 2007.
Expected date of Result: 22nd May 2007
Date of Commencement of COMEDK Centralized Counseling: 21st June 2007.
