Panjab University Common Entrance Test
The Panjab University conducts the Common Entrance Test for admissions to M.B.B.S, B.D.S, B.A.M.S, B.H.M.S, B.PHARMA, B.A LL.B. (Hons) and B.Sc. (Hons). The Panjab University Common Entrance Test for the year 2008 is scheduled to be held on 18th May in Chandigarh. The different colleges offering the various courses include
Govt. Medical College Chandigarh, Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences, Shri Dhantwantry Ayurvedic College, Chandigarh, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, P.U., Chandigarh and University Institute of Legal Studies, P.U, Chandigarh.

Last date for receipt of completed Application Form: 9th April, 2008

Eligibility Criteria for PU CET-2008
Candidates who have passed or have appeared in the 10+2 Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or equivalent Examination Conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council are eligible to appear in the Common Entrance Test - 2008.
Admission of candidates for the Panjab University Common Entrance Test-2008 will be provisional. If candidates fail to meet the necessary eligibility conditions as required by the concerned institution(s) or University by the date fixed for the purpose, admissions shall stand cancelled.
Candidates have to be 17 years and above as on or before 31, December 2008 for admissions to the different courses.
Obtaining Application Forms of PU CET-2008
Application Forms can be obtained on payment of Rs.1500/- (Rs.750/- in case of SC/ST), from the following State Bank of India branches:

Application forms can also be obtained by registered post on payment of Rs.80/- through Bank Draft only plus the fee as stated above, drawn in favor of the “Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh” Payable at Chandigarh.
