Symbiosis Entrance Test |
Appearing in the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is the first step for those who are willing to pursue Symbiosis Bachelor degree in Law, Symbiosis Bachelor degree in IT & Computer Applications, Symbiosis Bachelor degree in Management, Symbiosis Bachelor degree in design and Symbiosis bachelor degree in Science and Medical Technology. It is a mandatory common entrance test for getting admitted to Symbiosis International University's undergraduate degree programmes. But candidates are also required to separately purchase prospectus and apply to each of the Symbiosis Institute's in which they seek admission. This is because each Symbiosis Institute may lay down its own parameters for selection such as weightage, academic background, work experience etc in the due process. This year, the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET 2010) has been scheduled to be held on 1st week of May, 2010.
The first step of appearing in SET 2010 is getting oneself registered online. The registration for SET 2010 will be going on till mid April, 2010.
Payment of Fees: The SET test fee of Rs. 500/ can be paid either through cash, crossed demand draft or credit card. For cash payment of the amount one needs to take out the print out of a challan from the website and the payment can be made in the UTI Bank Branch of the city in which the candidate is residing. After the payment is made the Symbiosis copy of the payment challan need to be sent to the collection centre at Symbiosis Test Secretariat, Symbiosis Infotech Campus, Plot No. 15, Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, MIDC Hinjewadi, Pune 411057.
In order to pay the amount through a demand draft one first needs to take our a copy of the challan from the website and make demand draft of Rs. 500/ from any bank in favor of 'Symbiosis Entrance Test' payable at Pune. The D.D. and the signed single copy of the payment advice form should be sent to Collection Centre at Symbiosis Test Secretariat, Symbiosis Infotech Campus, Plot No. 15, Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, MIDC Hinjewadi, Pune 411057
The payment of SET 2010 can also be made through either the master or the VISA card online. The last date for payment would be notified shortly, which is expected to be on the 3rd week of April 2010.

Admit Card of SET 2010: Candidates also need to take out the print out of the admit card from the SET website on the scheduled time during the last week of April or first week of May, which will be notified shortly. The admit cards should have a latest photograph pasted on it. Candidates also need to bring along a passport or a driving license, or college/ Institute identity card or hall ticket of XII standard examination for verifying the identity of the students in the exam hall.
