Introduction
A Common Entrance Test, designated as Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test – 2008 (EAMCET – 2008) of Andhra Pradesh will be conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad

on behalf of APSCHE for entry into the first year of the following professional courses offered for the academic year 2008-2009 in various government and private colleges of Andhra Pradesh.
(a) B.E/B.Tech courses
(b) B.Pharm (M.P.C.)
(c) B.Tech (Ag.Engg)
(d) B.Tech (Dairying).
(e) B.Tech (FS &T)
(f) B.Sc. (CA & BM)
(g) B.V.Sc and A.H/B.Sc (Ag)/B.Sc (Hort)/B.F.Sc/B.Tech (FST)/ B.Sc. (Commercial Agri. & Business Mgt) (Bi.P.C) courses
(h) MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/BNYS courses
(i) B. Pharm (Bi.P.C. courses).
(j) B.Tech. (Bio-Technology).
Eligibility
The minimum qualification to appear for EAMCET-2008 is-
- For admission to the Engineering, B.Pharmacy (M.P.C), B.Tech Dairying, B.Tech (Ag.Engineering), B.Tech (Food Science and Technology) (FS&T), B.Sc (Commercial Agri & Business Mgt) (CA&BM) courses, candidates should have passed or appeared in the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optionals or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh along with bridge course or courses conducted by it for candidate enrolled during 2001-2003 and subsequent batches, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or candidates should have passed or appeared at the final year of the Diploma examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, A.P.
In the case of Engineering, Pharmacy courses, candidates should have completed 16 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit. In the case of B.Tech Dairying, B.Tech (Ag.Engineering), B.Tech (FS&T) and B.Sc (CA & BM) offered in Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission and an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in respect of scheduled caste and scheduled tribe candidates as on 31st December of the year of Admissions.
- Candidates seeking admission to agricultural and medicine courses through EAMCET 2008 should appear for Biology, Physics and Chemistry in EAMCET-2008 (AM Category).
- For admission to MBBS/BDS Courses through EAMCET 2008, candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of the Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optionals which shall include a practical test in these subjects, OR any examination (10+2 pattern) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in each of these subjects, recognized as equivalent to Intermediate by the Board of Intermediate Education, Hyderabad.
Candidates should have completed 17 yrs of age as on 31st December of the year of admission and an upper age limit of 22 yrs for all the candidates and 25 yrs in respect of SC/ST candidates as on 31st December of the year of admissions.

For admission to B.Pharm Courses through EAMCET 2008, candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of the Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology optionals, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education as equivalent thereto. They should have completed 16 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit.
For admission to B.Tech courses through EAMCET 2008 candidates should have pursued or appeared for the final year of Intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optional along with the bridge course examination in Mathematics conducted by Board of Intermediate Education, Govt. of A.P shall be eligible. |
EAMCET 2008 schedule:
Date of Issuing Application Forms: 14th February 2008 to 14th March 2008.
Last Date of Receipt of Applications: 14th March 2008 without late Fee, 27th March 2008 with a late fee of Rs. 600/-, 1st may 2008 with a late fee of Rs. 5000/- and 7th May 2008 with a late fee of Rs. 10,000/-
Date of EAMCET 2008: 8th May 2008.
Those who submit the form with a late fee will have to do so in person at the Convener’s office, Hyderabad and the test centers will be allotted at Hyderabad/ Secuderabad only.
