International Institute of Information Technology-PGEE 2008 will be held on 17th February. The Post Graduate Entrance Examination is conducted for the admission of students in The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad. This autonomous institution was established in the year 1998 with the support of Andhra Pradesh Government. The research centers of the institution focuses on the various aspects of IT and its applications. Image Processing, Computational Linguistics, VLSI and Embedded Systems, Theoretical Computer Science, Computer Vision & Graphics, Earthquake Engineering, Natural Language Processing, Data Mining,Cryptography & Network Security,Speech Processing, Multi-agent Systems, Building Sciences, Database Systems,Bio-informatics,Networking, Signal Processing, Power Systems,Ad hoc Networks, Wireless Communication,Education, Ad hoc Networks, Algorithms and Robotics are some of the areas of research.

IIT PGEE Eligibility Criteria and Application Procedure
- M.Tech- Students willing to take admission should be a BE or B.Tech in Engineering. Candidates with a degree in B.Arch. or Master’s degree in computer science, maths, science and programming can also look for admission.
- Ph.D-Candidates with Master’s degree in Maths or science may seek for admission here in International Institute of Information technology. Students with ME or M.Tech in Engineering are also free to apply.
- Students can apply online through www.iiit.ac.in/pgadmin.html
- Candidates are free to apply for more than one course. Rs.800 is the amount charged for the application form.
- You need to pay an amount of Rs.50 extra for other additional choices.
- The application fee should be paid in demand draft. It should be drawn in favour of “IIIT, Hyderabad”.
- The draft is payable at Hyderabad and should be paid within 12th January, 2008.
TIIT Admissions
Students are selected on the basis of their performance in the International Institute of Information Technology-PG Entrance Examination. Personal interviews of the students are also conducted during the time of admission.
IIIT PGEE Test Pattern
Students are required to sit for examination in two papers. The first paper deals with objective type of questions and the second paper is on the respective subject.
IIIT PGEE Examination Centers
International Institute of Information Technology-PGEE 2008 will be held in the selected cities of the nation. However, the selection of the test center depends on the number of applicants willing to sit for the examination from that particular region.
