If you are interested in pursuing engineering in Arunachal Pradesh, you can appear for the NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE). It is organized by the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology for admission to various programs. You can apply for a certificate (base), degree or diploma course after cracking Arunachal Pradesh Engineering Entrance Exams or NEE, to be precise. The exam can be taken in 3 levels- NEE- I, NEE- II or NEE- III, depending on whether you seek admission in the Base, Diploma or Degree Module of your Engineering course.

Application Procedure for Arunachal Pradesh Engineering Entrance Exams
- You can collect the application form as well as the information brochure from the main branch of Vijaya Bank in the capital of a state or Union territory, or the main Post Office in the district headquarters of all the North Eastern States by paying Rs 100 for each form.
- The form can also be collected at the Directorate of Higher/Technical Education situated in the N.E States.
- You can also download the form and the brochure from the website of NERIST.

- Completed application forms should be sent by post.
With an application, you should also send the exam fee of Rs 650 as a crossed D.D drawn in favor of 'Director, NERIST' and payable at State Bank of India, Nirjuli.
- If you download the application form as well as the brochure, you need to send Rs 750 along with the completed form.
- The filled-in form along with the admit card and all other essential enclosures, need to be mailed to Member Secretary (NEE), North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and technology, P.O. Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh, Pin- 791109
- If a form is not properly filled up, or does not have the demand draft attached with it or is received late, it can be cancelled.
Eligibility for taking NEE:
- NEE-I: You should pass Class X exam or an equivalent one with science and Maths as your subject of study. You also need to pass in both Maths and Science. If you are awaiting your results of Class X exam, you can also appear for the test.
- NEE-II: The candidate needs to pass Class XII with PCM or PCMB. You can also apply if you have studied a vocational course in Electronics, Farm Machinery & Equipment, Electrical, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Automobile technology or Computer Science at your 10+ 2 level. You can also be eligible if you have NERIST certificate (E&T).
- NEE-III: If you have a Diploma in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering or Mechanical engineering or even in their allied branches, you can appear for this test. You need to have 60% marks in aggregate or in the diploma module of NERIST. You can also apply if you are appearing in the final year of your diploma course.
Examination centers:
You can sit for NEE in Silchar, Agartala, Dibrugarh, Aizwal, Gangtok, Imphal, Guwahati, Itanagar, Kohima, Jorhat or Shillong.

- Notification of Exam: October or November, 2007
- Issue of Application Form- 29th Oct, 2007- 28th Jan, 2008
- Last Day for submission of the completed form- 4th February, 2008
- Exam Dates: NEE I- 20th April, 08
NEE II and III- 19th April, 08
Publication of Results: 1st Week of June, 2008
