Engineering Exam in Punjab

Introduction
A Combined Entrance Test (CET) is conducted by the Punjab Technical University for admission to B.Tech., B.Arch/ Planning/B.Tech (Agril. Engg.) etc. in Engineering Institute/Colleges/University Departments in the Sate.
Eligibility:
Those candidates who have passed/appeared in the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the subjects of Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science for Engineering Technology courses and Chemistry/Biology/Engineering/Drawing/Computer Science for Architecture course and pass in English or its equivalent examination conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council. Or those candidates who have passed their 10th or 10+2 examination with Science stream with aforesaid subjects and have passed diploma in any Engineering Trace from Punjab State Board of Technical Education, Chandigarh or Sant Longowal Institute of Engg. and Technology or such examination from any other recognized state board of technical education.
Examination Pattern:
The test consists of questions in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. These question papers consist of 60 multiple objective type questions carrying one mark each. Architecture Aptitude: 30 objective questions. Total time allotted is 30 minutes.
For admission to BArch, candidates have to appear in Architectural aptitude test too.
Application Procedure:
CET prospectus/Application form can be had during March/April on cash payment of prescribed fees at the counter from the Cashier, Punjab University, Chandigarh or by post from the Secretary, Publication Bureau, Punjab University, Chandigarh by sending MO or crossed IPO in favor of the Registrar, Punjab University, Chandigarh colleges conducted by CET.

Examination Centre: Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Shimla, Patiala, Bhatinda, Delhi, Amritsar, Ferozpur, Gurudaspur, Sangrur, Jammu and Kurukshetra.
