Engineering Exam in Rajasthan

Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test for Engineering, Architecture and Pharmacy (RPETEAP) for admission to BE./B.Arch./B.Pharmacy courses in various Govt. aided and Private unaided technical institutions of Rajasthan (Except BITS Pilanii, MNIT, Jaipur and other Deemed University) are conducted by Board of Technical Education Rajasthan.
Eligibility:
A pass in the final examination of 10+2 (XII) of Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan or any other examination recognized by Universities in Rajasthan. The age of the candidate must be between 17 to 23 years of age on 1st October. Medical fitness is a very important eligibility criteria.
Subject combination required in the qualifying examination for admission to B.E., B.Arch.
- B.E. Compulsory Subject: Physics & Mathematics anyone of the optional subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology.
- B.Arch. Compulsory Subject: Physics & Mathematics anyone of the optional subjects: Chemistry, Engineering Drawing, Computer Science and Biology.
Candidates who are appearing in the above qualifying examination may also apply.
Pattern of Test:
The RPETEAP consist of five papers (1) Physics (2) Chemistry (3) Mathematics (4) Biotechnology (Botany & Zoology) (5) Aptitude Test.
For Engineering and Architecture courses candidate will have to appear in the test as per the combination given below:
- B.E.: Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
- B.Arch.: Mathematics & Aptitude Test.
Reservations
There are certain amounts of seat reservations in Engineering Exam in Rajasthan. 159 seats for SC, 78 for ST, 31 for Ex-Servicemen, 28 for Defence personnel, 9 for killed/disabled physically handicapped and 757 for General.
