School of Fashion Technology (SOFT) Entrance Exam, 2009 |
Founded in collaboration with NIFT in 1998, the School of Fashion Technology is one of the prestigious Fashion Schools in India. It grooms women filled with dreams, dedication and entrepreneurship as excellent professionals in the Fashion industry. If you want to join the league, you can seek admission to SOFT by taking School of Fashion Technology (SOFT) Entrance Exam, 2009.
School of Fashion Technology Entrance Exam Application Procedure
- You can collect the application form and the prospectus from SOFT by paying Rs 1000 directly or by sending a D.D of Rs 1200 by post.
- The D.D should be drawn in favor of the "School of Fashion Technology" and be payable at Pune.
- If you have downloaded the form, you can send it to SOFT by post along with a D.D of Rs 1200.
- On the date of SOFT Entrance Exam, 2009, you should carry the admit card.
- The filled-in form should be mailed to “School of Fashion Technology, SOFT Campus, Near Cummins Engineering College, Karve Nagar, Pune 411 052.”
Eligibility for SOFT Entrance Exam:
- You need to pass HSC or any equivalent level for applying for a UG Course in Fashion Apparel Design.
- For admission to a Post Graduate Course in Computer Aided Textile Design, Fashion Design & Clothing Technology or Apparel Production & Merchandising Management, you need to have a Bachelor’s degree or a Diploma.
Pattern of SOFT Entrance Exam:
- Group A on APMM has tests on General ability (GAT) and Managerial Ability (MAT).
- Other Groups on FDCT, CATD as well as FAD contain tests on General Ability and Creative Ability (CAT).
- So you will be tested on Quantitative Ability, English Comprehension and Verbal ability in English in the GAT section, whereas MAT consists of sections on verbal and non-verbal reasoning and general awareness.
- While taking CAT, you will find sections on general awareness, drawing and sketching.
CET 2009 will be conducted on 07th June, 2009. The candidate can select only ONE city for this examination.

You can appear for the Entrance Exam of School of Fashion Technology at SOFT in Pune, National
Inter College 2 in Rana Pratap Marg in Lucknow, Mahatma Ashwini Kumar Datta Memorial Institute on Park Street in Kolkata and at MFSD Higher Secondary School on Managappan Street in Chennai.
