Introduction
The Faculty of Law of Delhi University is considered one of the best law institutes in India for pursuing LL.B and LL.M courses. Admission to the 3 year LL.B and two year/ three year LL.M programme of the University of Delhi is done through the D.U. Law Entrance Exam.

There are 1500 seats for the LL.B. Course distributed among the three law centers of the Delhi University- the Campus Law Centre, Law Centre-I and Law Centre-II. The number of seats available for the two year LL.M. programme is 35 while there are 30 seats for the three year LL.M programme.

Eligibility for the D.U.LL.B Entrance Test: For admission to the LL.B course of the University candidates need to be at least a graduate from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% ( 45% for CW/AF/PH and pass for SC/ST candidates) marks in aggregate. However those who are appearing in the final year of the qualifying entrance exam are also eligible to apply.
Eligibility for the D.U.LL.M Entrance Exam: For admission to the LL.M course of the Delhi University through the D.U. LL.M Entrance Exam candidates need to have a three year/ five year law degree or its equivalent from a recognized University with at least 50% ( 45% for SC/ST/CW-AF/PH category) marks in aggregate. However candidates who are appearing in the final Year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to appear in the LL.M Entrance Exam.
LL.M Test Pattern: The D.U L.L.M Entrance Exam would consist of objective type multiple choice questions that would test the knowledge of the candidates in areas of Indian Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Law of Contracts, Law of Torts, Criminal Law, International Law, Environmental Law..
LL.B Test Pattern: The D.U LL.B Entrance Test would consist of objective type multiple choice questions that would test the knowledge of the candidates in the areas of English Language Aptitude, Legal Aptitude and Analysis and General Knowledge.

Obtaining the Application Form of the D.U. Law Entrance Exam: The application forms for the D.U LLB and LL.M Entrance Exam can be obtained by sending a request along with a demand draft of Rs. 250/- drawn in favor of Registrar, University of Delhi, payable at Delhi/New Delhi. The request letter and the demand draft should reach the Convener Office on or before 19th May, 2008.
It can also be obtained against a cash payment of Rs. 200/- from the Faculty of Law, Delhi University from 21st April to 2nd June, 2008. One can also download the application form from the University's website- http://www.du.ac.in
Submitting the Application Form of the D.U. Law Entrance Test: The duly filled application forms of the LL.B/LL.M Entrance Exam along with a demand draft of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 150/- for SC/ST candidates and Rs.700/- for those who have downloaded the form) drawn in favor of “ Registrar, University of Delhi" payable at Delhi should reach the Convener, Admission Committee, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 on or before 2nd June, 2008.
Candidates should also send a self-addressed envelope of 25x11 cms size with a postal stamp of Rs.10/- affixed.

Date of Issuing of Forms: 21st April, 2008 to 2nd June, 2008.
Last Date of issuing of Forms by Post: 29th May, 2008.
Last Date of Receipt of Application Form: 2nd June 2008.
Date of LL.B Entrance Test: 15th June, 2008 ( 10 a.m. to 12 noon)
Date of LL.M Entrance Test: 22nd June, 2008 (10 a.m. to 12 noon)
