XAT is one of the most important common entrance tests for those who want to get admitted to some of the prestigious management institutes in India. XAT is conducted by the XLRI school of Business and Human Resources. But XAT 2008 will be held for admission to various progammes of XLRI and 41 other management institutes in India.
Eligibility: For admission to BM and PM & IR programmes of XLRI, candidates need to be either graduates or complete it by June 10, 2008. For the GPM programme, candidates need to have minimum 5 years of relevant experience after graduation.

Application Procedure: XAT bulletin can be obtained from selected branches of State Bank of India on payment of Rs. 700/-. One can also obtain the XAT bulletin by sending a demand draft of Rs. 750/- drawn in favor of XAT Jamshedpur payable at SBI, XLRI Branch along with XAT PP form that can be downloaded from www.xlri.edu It should be sent to Admissions Office, XLRI C.H. Area ( E) Jamshedpur- 831001.

Test Centers for XAT 2008: XAT 2008 will be held in Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Berhampur, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Goa, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kolakata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur Ranchi, Rourkela, Thiruvanthapuram, Vadodara and Visakahapatnam.
Schedule for XAT 2008:
Date of issuing of forms: 1st September 2008.
Last date of issuing of forms: 30th November 2008.
Date of XAT 2008: 6th January 2008.
