(VIT) Vellore Institute of Technology Entrance Exam is organized by the Vellore Institute of Technology India. The entrance test is conducted for the admission of students to the MCA/M.Tech Programs offered by the Vellore Institute of Technology. (VIT) Vellore Institute of Technology Entrance Exam 2008 will be held on 1st June, Sunday.
VIT Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria: For getting admission to the MCA and M.Tech programme through the VIT entrance test, one needs to fulfill at least the following criteria -

- The candidates seeking admission are required to complete their graduation from any college in India and should be a Resident Indian National.
- The candidates willing to take admission in MCA and M.Tech should be a full time graduate from any recognized University of the nation with a minimum of 60% and 50% marks respectively.
- The students should have consistent good result in their Xth and XIIth examinations.
- Candidates appearing for their final year examination can also apply.
- Candidates are required to complete their final examination before the selection interview of the institution.
- Candidates should produce or submit their final year mark sheet and provisional certificate to the institution by 15th August, 2008, failing which may lead to the cancellation of admission
Admission Procedure
- Admission to MCA and M.Tech courses will entirely depend on the performance of the candidates in the (VIT) Vellore Institute of Technology Entrance Exam 2008.
- The names of the short listed candidates for appearing in the interview will be published in the official site of the institution.
- The selected candidates will be provided with the detailed information in due course of time.
- The selected candidates are required to pay an amount of Rs. 10,000(non-refundable) in advance at the time of interview.
- The amount should be paid in demand draft drawn in favor of “VIT University”. Candidates failing to pay the required amount during the time of interview will not be granted admission.
- GATE qualified candidates will be given special preference during the time of admission.
IT Entrance Test Admission Forms:
- The application form, information brochure and a self addressed printed envelope can be collected from the selected branches on payment of a cash amount of Rs. 900.
- The names of the selected GPOs/HPOs can be collected from the official website of the institution.
- The candidates can also obtain the application form by sending a demand draft drawn in favor of the “VIT University”.
Examination Centers: (VIT) Vellore Institute of Technology Entrance Exam 2008 will be conducted in the following cities: Vellore, New Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Vijayawada and Patna.
