Armed Forces Medical College Sholapur Road, Pune 411040(Ph 020-26820028, 26306030) (Controlling Authority: Director General Armed Foreces Medical Services, Ministry of University of Health Science, Nasik) (Estd.:1962) (Govt) offers 41/2 years MBBS followed by compulsory rotating internship training of one year.
Eligibility: Passed 10+2 Std./Pre-professional/Pre-medical exam. or equivalent examination of statutory Indian University/Board or any other recognized Board/University as a regular student in the first attempt with subjects of PCB and English securing not less than 60% of aggregate marks in the 3 Science subjects taken together, with 50% marks in each of the Science subjects, and not less than 50% marks in English.

The candidates must have also passed an examination in Maths at least of the Matric Std. and passed B.Sc Exam. of an Indian University with not less than two of the subjects PCB (Botany, Zoology). Candidates who are to appear in the qualifying examination before May can also appear provisionally.

Pattern of Test: Candidates are required to appear in the All India Competitive written test of 2 hrs. duration in subjects of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Intelligence, Logic, Reasoning and English language. Each part comprises of 50 questions of 1 mark each. Std. of the Examination is that of 11th and 12th std. under the 10+2 Scheme/Pre-medical/Isc. or an equivalent examination of an Indian University.
Based on the performance in the written test selected candidates are called for interview in the month of June at Pune.
Application Procedure: It can be purchased on payment of requisite charges from the specified General/Head/Central/Main Post offices and it can also be obtained from the Officers in charge (Admission Cell), Armed Forces Medical College, Pune 411040 on payment of prescribed charges through Bank Draft on any nationalized bank in favour of the Commandant, AFMC, Pune along with full postal address of the candidate on two separate slips of paper.
