Medical Entrance Exams in Kerala, KEAM 2007

Are you working hard to crack the medical entrance tests? If you expect to get admission in a reputed medical college in Kerala, you have to sit in the Medical Entrance Exams. Kerala Engineering and Medical Entrance Exam (KEAM) is a competitive test which judges your potential as a medical student.

If you have just completed your +2 exam this year and want to study medical science, you need to score well in the KEAM2008. It is on the basis of your marks that you are granted admission to any of the medical courses offered by the top educational institutes of Kerala.


Eligibility for KEAM

  • You should complete 17 years of age as on 31st December, 2008
  • If you have already earned a B.Sc degree with one of the main subjects being, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany or Bio-Chemistry.
  • You need to score at least 50% marks in aggregate of the main and optional subjects.
  • Even if you have not passed the qualifying examination you can still appear in the exam.
  • If you belong to SC/ST categories, you need to score 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology to qualify for the examination.
  • In case you are a resident of Kerala you will be categorized as ‘Keralites’ or else you will fall under the category of 'Non-Keralites'.

Application Procedure of KEAM 2008

  • You have to buy the application form and the Prospectus from 28th January to 29th February 2008. The forms are bought in cash.
  • The forms are available from the selected branches of Canara Bank and State Bank of Travancore in Kerala.
  • You cannot avail the application forms by post or from the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.
  • The filled in Application Form and the relevant documents are to be sent in the printed envelope with the address of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. This should reach the destination by 29th Feb 2008 (Friday), by Hand Delivery, Registered Post or Speed Post.

About the Entrance Test



The entrance test contains two question papers. While paper-I will contain questions on Physics and Chemistry, paper-II has questions on Biology.

Important Dates



Paper-I: Chemistry & Physics – 23rd April, 2008 Wednesday (10A.M. to 12.30 P.M)
Paper-II: Biology – 24th April 2008 Thursday (10 A.M. to 12.30 P.M).
