All India Conference on Criminology
The Centre for Civil & Criminal Justice Administration, National Law Institute University (NLUI), Bhopal is organizing the 31st All India Conference on Criminology to be held during 18 - 20 January 2008. Academicians in the field of Criminology & Criminal Justice Administration, Law, Social Work, Sociology Psychology and other social sciences, practitioners and administrators in the field of Criminal Justice Administration including Hon'ble judges, police and prison officials and representatives of the Civil Society - NGOs, Media and other Activist Groups are expected to participate in the 31st All India Criminology Conference.
The 31st All India Conference on Criminology would have "Strengthening Criminal Justice Administration" as its focal theme and various sub themes like Crimes Against Women and Children, Forms of Crimes against Women, Children & Dalits, Trafficking in Women and Children & Dalits, Legal Measures to prevent crimes against women and children & Dalits, The Role of Police and Judiciary in prevention & control of crimes against women and children Cyber Crime: Agenda for Legal Reforms, Towards Victim Justice System and Victimological Jurisprudence: Emerging Paradigms in CJS, "Post U.N. Declaration on Victims" scenario in India - Assessment of Victims position in India, Scope of legal and institutional reforms for victims of crime, Issues and concerns of victims and witness protection in the Criminal Justice System etc.
It is to be noted that on- the-spot registration will not be entertained. The organizers will not be responsible for arrangements for those who turn up without registration. Registration requests, in any case, will not be accepted after 31st December 2007.
CALL FOR PAPERS
Full Papers together with abstracts may be sent to Prof. Dr.G.S. Bajpai, Organizing Secretary, 31st All India Criminology Conference, National Law Institute University, Kerwa Dam Road, Bhopal - 462 044 (one hard copy and one soft copy in a CD) or to iscnliuconference08@gmail.com before 15th December 2007. Papers received after this date will not be considered. The delegates submitting full-length paper by due date will be scheduled for presentation subject to the recommendation by the screening committee.
SCIENTIFIC PAPERS FOR THE ISC BEST RESEARCH PAPER AWARD
Research papers based on empirical studies are invited only from young research scholars/students below the age of 35 years for presentation at the scientific session. The paper adjudged as the best one will be awarded the ISC Gold Medal. The last date for sending this paper is December 15, 2007 and the papers for scientific session and the award should be sent to Dr.S. Latha, Secretary, Indian Society of Criminology, University of Madras, Chennai 600 005.
REQUEST FOR REGISTRATION
Request for registration of delegates should reach Prof.G.S. Bajpai, Organizing Secretary in the enclosed form along with a Demand Draft negotiable at Bhopal in favour of "31st All India Criminology Conference, NLIU,Bhopal" on or before 15th December 2007 along with the details of the accommodation preferred. Accommodation will be provided on the basis of "First Come First Serve".
