Ans: Today, earning a correspondence degree has
become quite common. Moreover there is no dearth of institutes
that offer MBA distance learning courses in India. For
example, The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU),
which is known as one of the best Universities for distance
learning courses offer MBA programme in HRD/Finance/Operations/Marketing/
and MBA Banking and Finance (MBF). Moreover it offers
attractive PG Diploma courses in Management, Human Resource
Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management
and other courses.
Apart from IGNOU there are various other institutes in
India that offer MBA correspondence courses.

Ans: The Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra offers
M.Sc degree in Biomedical Instrumentation that aims to
impart in depth knowledge to the students with live exposure
to the use of sophisticated medical equipments. This programme
is conducted in collaboration with the B.M. Birla Heart
Research Centre, Kolkata, and with assistance from Advanced
Diagnostic Centre, Ranchi and Rajendra Institute of Medical
Sciences, Ranchi. The details of the course are given
below-
Course duration: 2 years + 6 months internship.
Qualification: Graduate (in 10+2+3 system) with
50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST) in B.Sc./ BCA
with Mathematics/ Life Sciences/ Computer and Physics/
Chemistry/ Electronics/ Instrumentation.
Selection Procedure: Admission to the M.Sc. programmes
at BIT Mesra is done on the basis of previous academic
record, an online Entrance Test followed by personal interviews
for short listed candidates. GATE will not be a pre-requisite
for these programmes. However, there will be no scholarships
for students of these programmes. The notification for
the entrance test comes generally in the last week of
May and entrance test is held in the last week of June.
In addition to BIT Mesra, Jayachamarajan College of Engineering,
Mysore offers MTech (Biomedical Instrumentation), Coimbatore
Institute of Technology, (Bharathiar University) offers
a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Instrumentation Technology
and Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur offers a
Master's programme in Medical Science & Technology (MMST).
