If fine art is what appeals you the most, think of studying any form of fine arts. Among many colleges of fine arts in Mumbai, J.J. School of Arts is certainly one of the well known institutes. This is a state funded college and a part of the Sir J.J. School of Applied Art.
This institute was founded in March 1857 with the initial funding made by Sir Jamshetjee Jeejeebhoy. The Sir J. J. School of Art was affiliated under the Mumbai University in June 1981. Presently the institute offers Bachelors and Masters Courses on various fields of Fine arts.
Courses Offered at J.J. School of Arts
The Sir J. J. School of Art offers degree courses in fine arts, painting and sculpture. It also offers Masters Degree of Fine Arts in Painting. The Masters Degree programmes also include courses in creative painting, portraiture and graphics.
The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) (Craft- Interior Decoration) is a 4 years programme which is mainly demanded by the students.
Eligibility Criteria for Admissions
The students applying for the Bachelors degree should secure a minimum of 60% in 10+2 or equivalent examination.
