Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya (Centre for Dance research) is run under the leadership and management of the Nalanda Dance Research Centre (NDRC). The Nalanda Dance Research Centre was founded by the renowned Dr. Smt. Kanak Rele in 1966. Dr. Smt. Kanak Rele was a pioneer in dance education and was also a leading Mohiniattam dancer. She also founded the Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya in 1973.
