About Education in Mizoram
Mizoram boasts of a high literacy rate of 88.49 %. Education was first popularized in this part of the nation by the British. The missionaries were in charge of the management and development of education in this north-eastern state of India. The Mizoram board of School education was established on 23rd December, 1976 to look after the education system of the state. The schools in Mizoram follow a uniform 10+2 pattern of education. There are several primary, middle and high schools in Mizoram for the students to join. |
