About Education in Rajasthan
Several initiatives taken by the state government has resulted in the significant development of education in the state of Rajasthan. The literacy rate of the state has also witnessed a steady growth in the recent years. According to 2001 census report it was 61.03% which included male and female literacy rate of 76.46% and 44.34% respectively. However, in spite of the growth in the literacy rate, the number of female literates is still much lesser than the male who are literate. The state government has implemented a number of policies for promoting education among the masses and to enhance the educational services of the state. |
