About: Dhamma Dipa School, Tripura was established with the main aim of shifting focus from cities and provide quality education to poor tribal children. It was founded in 2002 by Dr. Dhammapiya, a Buddhist monk. Dhamma Dipa School, Tripura started off with 50 students and has grown to accommodate 250 students over the years.
The school is sited at Manu Bankul, which is a small village under the sub division of Sabroom and Raipaichhari in South Tripura Block. It is distanced 135 kms from Agartala. The school not only provides value education to children but also imparts vocational courses like handicraft, weaving and tailoring. The school is in its initial stage run by the contributions of the local people.
