Hostel: To facilitate the accommodation of the students the school has a good hostel, which was started in July in the year 1999. At that time it had a total of 72 seats for the students, 36 for the boys and 36 for the girls. The hotel facility is available for the students from classes VI to XII. Apart from offering a good environment the students residing at this hostel get academic help. Balanced diet is provided taking care of the dietary requirements. The students getting admission to the school can apply for the hostel facility every year in the month of March.
Transport facility: The school has around 20 buses, which offer service in association with private, and DTC buses on around 150 routes.
School clinic: The Medical checkup of the students is done on a regular basis at the school clinic. Their medical record is maintained and in case of any need of special medical attention parents are informed. Dental and opthalmic checkup is also done by the doctors from various reputed hospitals. With tie-up with reputed hospitals the emergency treatment for the sick children is provided. The school has an ambulance for emergencies as well as a tie-up with reputed hospitals for emergency treatment of the students.

DPS VK Quiz Club: Unofficially started in the year 2004, DPS Vasant Kunj Quiz Club became an official club of Delhi Public School in the year 2006. This quiz club has made a name for itself in Delhi. DPS VK Quiz Club is one of the first quiz clubs in the India to have a website. It has been a pioneer in using technology for quizzing. The club regularly organizes internal quizzes for the members of the club as well as for the other students of the school. Some of the quizzes are also conducted online.
Environment Club: This club was formed with an effort to save the environment. Presently, with more than 100 active members the members of the club participate in various activities including, Air monitoring workshops, Pre and post monsoon water monitoring, tree plantation, water treatment, Anti cracker campaigns, promotion of herbal colors on holi, and waste management. The members are awarded certificates for participating actively.
Computer club, the Code Warriors: The annual computer fest of The Code Warriors is regarded as one of the best in Delhi.
The Debate Society: With a glowing trail of achievements from the very first year of its formal inception, The Debate Society has bagged numerous trophies from the various competitions.
Sports: With great opportunity for sports DPS, Vasant Kunj is known for its sports teams. Many of the sports teams of this school have ousted the established oppositions.
Achievements:
Ashish Kumar became the topper in the class XII Board Exam in 2007.
Class X CBSE toppers in 2005 are Avni Aeron (96%), Shruti Marwah (95.8%) and Aditi Qamra (95%).
Yash Bhargava, won 3rd position in 24™ Super National Skating Championship, won Bronze Medal in 7th CBSE Nationals and also won Bronze Medal in the North Zone held at New Delhi. He has won four medals at the 35th Delhi State Roller Skating Championship.
Nikita Chawla, the student of class X of D.P.S. Vasant Kunj, has written a collection of short stories and poems. Many of them have been published in the National Book Trust magazines. She was applauded by the UNESCO and UNICEF officials reciting her poem 'Maa Ganga Cries' at the Habitat Centre. She has been invited by 'Creature Companions', an international magazine to write a guest column. She has also written articles for the newspaper The Vision of Vasant Kunj. Nikita Chawla is an active member of the Environment Council Club.
