Mayo College has been called the “Eton Of India” since its founding in 1870 AD. The school was founded by Richard Southwell Brouke. This institute can be called the brainchild of Colonel Walter. Each applicant will require to take an entrance test in English, Hindi and Mathematics in the 3rd week of November every year at multiple test centers in India and abroad. Shortlisted candidates are required to appear in an interview. Dates of interviews are flexible for overseas candidates.
Parents are notified in the month of August preceding the year in which admission is sought.
The school admits students from Class 4 onwards. Children having successfully completed Class 3, preferably from an English medium school, are eligible for the entrance test.
