About Rishi Valley School:
The Krishnamurti Foundation India runs the Rishi Valley Education Center. The Rishi Valley School is a part of this educational center. The Rishi Valley School offers a distinguishable educational environment by enabling all-round development of its students. The school aims in following the challenging “vision of education” of philosopher J. Krishnamurthy. This is one of the Residential Schools in India providing wide range of learning and innovative teaching. The school is divided into the Junior and Middle School, and the Senior School.

Hostel facilities:

Infrastructure for living There are about 20 small hostels. About 360 students staying in the school’s hostels. 12-22 students stay at each hostel The hostels are distributed class-wise and age-wise Houses( Hostels) looked after by house parent, drawn from the staff Dining hall functions on the basis of certain timings. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are held at certain scheduled timings.

Admission process:
  • Applications for admission to the school must be made before the 15th of December
  • The age of the child must at least 7 years. 
  • The admission procedure includes admission tests as well as an Interview. This process is held between the months of February and March.
  • The written tests are taken in English and Mathematics.
  • For the class XII course, there are generally very few seats left to accommodate candidates from other schools.
Dates for Registration:
  • The notice for admission is made in early April.
  • The few students considered for admission, are called for an interview in the third week of March.
  • New School term commences from the 15th of June.
  • The school admits in children upto Class VII.
  • Children are mainly admitted into classes IV, VI and Class VII. Admission to other classes is considered only in case of a vacancy.
Scholarship programs: 6 students are granted scholarship every year for their academic excellence.

Admission Fee: Rs 3,700

School fees can be paid in two installments (June and November)

Deposit: Rs 8,000

Refundable Interest Fee Caution Deposit: equal to a year's fee will need to be made at the time of admission.
