Sri Sarada Vidyalaya had been established with the sole motive of educating the girls. This is a school with difference as the women folk are encouraged to study with all types of facilities provided in a healthy environment. Girls here are taught and trained to excel in their respective fields. The Sri Sarada Vidyalaya was founded by Srimathi Seethalakshmi in the year 1956. It gradually developed into a high school in the year 1969 and then became a higher secondary school in the year 1979. Srimathi Seetha Lakshmi is known for her contributions in taking this school to its present status.

Hostel facilities: Presently, there are only 170 students staying in the school’s hostel. About 200 poor students are taking free mid day meals provided by Tamil Nadu Government.
Management: The school has an internal management committee.
Admission process: Admission in the school is done completely on performance basis. The school conducts entrance test from Std VI to X. For appearing in this test, no registration is required. It is open to all. The details regarding the entrance tests are announced in the months of April to May every year. The entrance tests are conducted in the last week of May. The results are announced within three days and admission procedures start soon after that. Only meritorious and talented students are considered.
Teaching Staff: The school has well qualified and experienced teaching staff. The present strength of faculties is 52, which include both teaching and non teaching members. They work as a team for the benefit of students and for the effective administration of the school.
Scholarship Programs: The school grants scholarships to the meritorious students. In higher Secondary classes, i.e., class XI and XII, SC / MBC/ ST / BC scholarships are awarded by the concerned departments of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Merit scholarships are also awarded to students of class XI and XII on the basis of marks scored in class X board examination. The students also receive sports scholarships by NIS Patiala.
Fee Structure: The fees, both for Tamil and English medium, are the same as per rules laid down by the administration. The reserved categories and the economically weak students are exempted from paying any kind of tuition fees.
