Introduction: The Charles B Rangel International Affairs Graduate Fellowships is a fellowship award instituted by the Charles B Rangel International Affairs Program. The Charles B Rangel International Affairs Program took shape when the Howard University and the U.S. Department came together with the common objective of luring young minds having interest in a career in the Foreign Service of the U.S. Department of State. This program has the minority and the financially backward groups in mind.
The Charles B Rangel International Affairs Graduate Fellowship caters to students who aspire to embrace graduation programs in foreign affairs with the long-term objective of serving the U.S. Foreign Service.

In the year 2007, the Charles B Rangel program will give away 10 fellowship awards with a maximum limit of US $ 28,000. These awards are given out annually and covers tuition fees, room rents, boarding charges, cost of books and the compulsory fees for completion of a 2- years master’s degree.

After completion of the 2 years of study, the Rangel Fellow will be awarded a degree in international affairs or any other area related to the requirement of work of the Foreign Service. This degree will be conferred on him by a graduate or professional school, which is recognized by the Ralph J Bunche International Affairs Center.
