Introduction: Soros Reproductive Health and Rights Fellowship was started in 2002 as a result of collaborative venture of Open Society Institute and Columbia University which aims towards the emancipation of women and protection of Human Rights. Thrust of Soros Reproductive Health and Rights Fellowship:

The awareness on various subjects ranging from health, hygiene, and human rights of women are projected in the program. The women are often subjected to humiliation and exploitation in many parts of USA and the foundation is instrumental in working in specific spheres to provide empathy to the women and empower them by enhancing the ability to assert their own rights.
