The France Government Scholarship is offered to interested candidates from the External Scholarships Division of the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Govt. of India. Eligibility:
The following are the eligibility criterion for the France Government Scholarships:
- Candidates should have a consistently good academic record with a minimum of 60% marks in post-graduation in the relevant field of study.
- Candidates who have a good knowledge of the French language and those who have been invited by an institute in France are given preference. In this case the candidate must submit supporting documentary evidence along with the application.
- Candidates will have to reside in India for 2 years in succession after their return from France
- Candidates should have sound knowledge about France
Duration :
The France Government Scholarship from the External Scholarship Division Ministry of Human Resource and Development are 2 in number and are for a period of 1 year.
Value of Scholarship
The France Government Scholarship provides for:
- a monthly allowance of 5400 French Francs
- Air fare is provided for by the French Government.
Application:
Candidates are required to send in duly typed applications, on plain paper, along with attested copies of educational documents within the fixed date, to the Director (Scholarship), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department. Of Education, External Scholarship.
However, applications of candidates staying abroad at the time of making the application are not considered.

The notification for the France Government Scholarships is normally published in all leading newspapers and Employment News during April –May every year.
