Introduction:
The L & T Build India Scholarship is a noble initiative in the field of engineering and technological education taken by Larsen & Toubro in association with ECC, its construction division.
Larsen and Toubro, also known as L & T in the corporate sector the world over, is a giant in the engineering and construction sector of India. L & T also has business interests in electronics and information technology. Larsen and Toubro has been the undisputed leader in its area of expertise since the last 60 years.
The Engineering Construction & Contracts Division of L&T – ECC is one of the biggest of its kind in India. It has, during the course of time, made significant contributions in building India’s skyline for the future.
The L & T Build India Scholarships are awarded to engineering students of exceptional merit who are interested in acquiring an M.Tech in Construction Technology & Management from either IIT Delhi and IIT Madras.
Duration:
The duration of the scholarship is for a period of 2 years
Eligibility Criteria for the L & T Build India Scholarships:
- Candidates applying for the L & T ‘Build India Scholarships’ should be engineering graduates with a total percentage of at least 65 in either Civil or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a reputed University or Institute.
- The candidates applying for the scholarships should not be more than 23 years of age
- Candidates should have a minimum height of 160 centimeters
Value of Scholarships :
- A monthly stipend of Rs.7, 000 for the entire period of the course
- Sponsorship to the IIT’s by ECC
- Tuition fees are however not a part of the scholarship. The same will be reimbursed to the student once the student joins ECC as an employee after passing out successfully
Selection Procedure :
Candidates are selected on the basis of a written test as well as an interview conducted by the IIT in which the candidate wishes to pursue his M.Tech. The ECC is also involved in the selection process.

- All applications should be accompanied by a recent passport size photograph
- All applications should contain full and complete information about the applicant
