Introduction:
The National Institute of Science Communication And Information Resources (NISCAIR) Scholarship was instituted by the NISCAIR for Research Associateship in Information Science. NISCAIR is a center at the all India level for allotting ISSN numbers for scientific journals and periodicals, published in India. NISCAIR is a global body, which shares scientific information with a large number of institutions spread across more than 40 countries of the world.
The National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources (NISCAIR) offers scholarships for the 2 years course i.e. Associateship in Information Science which is equivalent to Master’s degree in Library and Information Science. This course has been given due recognition by the Government of India and other Indian universities as well.
Eligibility Criteria for the NISCAIR Scholarships:
At least 50% marks in the aggregate in post graduation or B.E. or M.B.B.S or graduation in any other subject in addition to a graduation degree in Library Science and 1 year experience after successful completion of B. Lib.Sc.
Duration of Scholarships:
The scholarship is for a period of 9 months
Value of Scholarships :
The amount of financial grant covered by the scholarship is for an amount of Rs.1000/-. Candidates selected for an interview and called to New Delhi are provided to and fro 2nd class sleeper train fare.
Application for Scholarships :
Candidates may obtain prospectus and application either personally or through post. A Demand Draft or Postal Order for Rs.100/- drawn in favor of Director, NISCAIR and payable at New Delhi should be sent
