Introduction:

The NORAD Fellowships or the Norwegian Govt. Scholarship is provided by the External Scholarships Division of the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Govt. of India, to students who wish to obtain M.A. degrees from an institute in Norway.
This Department specializes in arranging large number of international scholarships to Indian students from foreign governments.

Eligibility:
  • Candidates applying for the NORAD Fellowships should be in the age group of 25-35 years of age
  • Candidates interested to pursue a post-graduation course should have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in graduation.
  • Candidates interested in pursuing a M.Phil course should have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in graduation. The candidate should also have completed a coursework for at least one and half years in a specialized subject concerning gender or issues related to development.
  • Candidates interested in pursuing a M.Phil course should have adequate and proper knowledge of English and should qualify in a TOEFL or IELTS test
  • Candidates should have adequate experience in related field for 2 to 3 years
Duration :

The NORAD scholarships from the External Scholarship Division of the Ministry of Human Resource and Development are for a period of 4 semesters.

Value of Scholarship

The NORAD scholarships take care of the students’ following requirements:
  • A fixed amount per month which covers expenses for food, housing and other daily requirements
  • Fellowship grants for half a month towards woolens and other warm clothing, campus deposits etc.
