Details of The Paul Foundation Scholarships
The Paul Foundation Scholarships are open for academic courses that contribute positively to building a learning and knowledge society. The choice of subjects is diverse, but not all-inclusive. Advertisements inviting applications for The Paul Foundation Scholarships are published in leading newspapers every year in the month of November. The scholarships are open to students pursuing Post graduate / Doctoral studies and Diploma and Short Term courses that fits in with the ideology of the organization as enunciated in its vision statement. Given the expense of studying overseas or even at the premier institutions in India, which could be unaffordable for some of the best and the brightest students, TPF offers scholarships up to a maximum of Rs 15 lakhs per year per student. The Paul Foundation Scholarships supports scholars in the areas of Humanities, Social Sciences, Basic Sciences, Applied Sciences, Law, Management, Medicine, Engineering, Fine Arts and the Performing Arts, including New Media Art.
Eligibility criteria for The Paul Foundation Scholarships
For applying to The Paul Foundation Scholarships, candidates must hold a first class degree in all their previous qualifying examinations, at the undergraduate or post graduate levels and must have submitted their applications to the universities of their choice at the time of applying to The Paul Foundation. Such candidates are required to furnish proofs of their confirmed admission before they are interviewed by the selection committee. Candidates must be below 30 years of age and should be a resident of India. As a merit-cum-means grant, the Foundation requires the applicant to submit duly authorized proof of family income at the time of application.
Selection Procedure for The Paul Foundation Scholarships
Any candidate applying for the Paul Foundation Scholarships must submit the duly filled-in Application forms of the Foundation with detailed official record of the applicant's academic achievements and Letter of application, along with receipt/ acknowledgement for admission to a course of study in top ranked universities, institutes or centers, in India or overseas. Along with the academic records, a 2000 word essay, which is a statement of purpose, based on the applicant’s understanding of his/her subject and a 300 word personal profile is required to be submitted by the applicant based on which his/her academic potential will be assessed. The final interviews will take place in June-July every year. All applicants must be available for interviews in India. Candidates who do not receive any communication must assume their application to be unsuccessful.
