Introduction:
The Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication(DAIICT), Jamnagar,Gujarat a joint effort of the Dhirubhai Ambani foundation and the Reliance Group had its birth in August 2001.Keeping in mind that India is emerging to be one of the prime outsourcing hubs in the global map DAIICT envisions creating students with world class education with real time experience in the field of Information and Communication Technology.
The major objective of the institute is to provide holistic education encompassing training and research.
Built on a land of 50 acres the campus has a lush green setting. It also enjoys the locational advantage of being in the Gandhinagar-Ahmedabad belt which is one of the major business destinations. In fact the Institute lies very close to the ‘ Infocity’ an information technology park in Gujarat. The governing council is headed by the noted businessman Shri Anil Ambani while Prof. S.C. Sahasrabudhe is the Director and Prof. Samaresh Chatterji, the Dean of Academic affairs of the Institute.
