Eligibility Criteria for Admissions
The college follows the following criteria at the time of admission:
Admissions are made on merit basis and admission to a course is closed as soon as the seats are filled.
5% of the total number if seats are reserved for candidates having an outstanding sport background and those excelling in extra-curricular activities such as arts,music or drama at the time of admission.
At the time of admission to the first year of the degree course, candidates are required to be 17 years of age before the first day of October in the year in which he/she seeks admission.
Candidates belonging to the science group but wish to get admission to the humanities and commerce stream are considered only after a deduction of 5% from aggregate marks secured by them in the best four subjects.
Admission Procedure at Maharaja Agrasen College
- For the session starting 2008, Maharaja Agrasen College provides the following dates:
- The applications forms will be available from 2nd June, 2008.
- The last date for receipt of application forms is 16th June 2008.
- The college will put up its first admission list on 26th June 2008.
- Selected candidates have to pay their admission and payment of fee on 27th June to 30th June 2008.
- The second admission list will be put up on 1st July 2008.
- The admission and payment of fee for the second list selected candidates will be held from 2nd July to 4th July 2008.
- The third admission list will be put up by the college on 5th July 2008.
- The admission and payment of fee for the second list selected candidates will be held from 7th July to 9th July 2008.
- The fourth admission list will be put up on 10th July 2008.
- The admission and payment of fee for the second list selected candidates will be held from 11th July to 14th July 2008.
The following documents are required at the time of admission:
- A character certificate from the Head of the College or School last attended.
- A matriculation certificate for confirmation of date of birth.
- Provisional certificate of the last examination passed.
- A list of marks obtained in each subject at the last examination passed.
- Four passport size photograph of the student and two of his/her parent/ guardian.
