Eligibility Criteria at Deen Dayal Institute for Physically Handicapped
- The minimum eligible age for admission is 17 years as on 01.01.2009. The maximum age for admission is 23 years (for General Category) and 28 years (for SC / ST / PH category).
- For General category students: The candidate must pass the +2 examination conducted by CBSE or any other equivalent exams with at least 50% marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Moreover, the candidate needs to pass each subject separately.
- For SC / ST / PH category students: The candidate must pass the +2 exam with at least 45% marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. The candidate also needs to pass each subject separately.
- Students appearing/appeared in the 10+2 exam can also apply. However, the admission is subjected to their passing of the exam with required percentage of marks However; it is subjected to their clearance of qualifying examination with required percentage of marks before the result of entrance test is declared.
- Candidates, who have passed their +2 exam before 2005 and have stopped their regular studies for over 3 years, are not eligible to appear in the college's entrance test.

- The application form along with the prospectus can be received by depositing a demand draft/pay order to be drawn in favor of "Director, Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Institute for the Physically Handicapped", which is to be payable at New Delhi.
- Prospectus is also made available by depositing a specific amount of cash on the college's sale counter in the Accounts Section between 10.00 am to 4.00 pm everyday (except on Saturdays and Sundays)
