Introduction:
Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Science for Women affiliated to the Delhi University offers a unique range of professional courses. Undergraduate level courses are also offered at Delhi Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Science for Women. The college mainly aims at offering higher education to women.
Courses Offered:
The Rajguru College of Applied Science for Women offers degree programs in professional disciplines namely Electronics, Food Technology, Instrumentation, Computer Science and Biomedical Sciences. The academic session commences in July every year. The courses are:
- Bachelor of Applied Science Electronics (Hons.)
- Bachelor of Applied Science Instrumentation (Hons.)
- Bachelor of Applied Science Food Technology (Hons.)
- Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons.)
- Bachelor of Biomedical Science(Hons)
The College also maintains a local CISCO Networking Academy, which happens to be the only one of its kind in the city Delhi where students can go for add-on certificate courses at normal costs to receive the CCNA certification.
Eligibility:
- Age: No candidate can qualify for admission/enrollment unless she is 17 years of age. However the Vice Chancellor might relax the age limit up to a maximum of one year in special cases.
- Academic Qualification: A pass in the Senior School Certificate Examinations (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education or equivalent with specified subjects is the minimum requisite.

How to apply:
Admission form can be obtained from Monday through Saturday between 10.00 A.M and 1.00 P.M. on payment at the college counter or by post addressed to the Principal, Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Woman, Jilmil Colony, Vivak Vihar, Delhi 110095. Additional form can also be bought. Requested forms by post should have a self addressed envelop (10 X 8).
Documents while submission:
- Character Certificate from the last attended institute.
- Birth Certificate.
- Mark-sheet of last examination.
- Provisional Certificate of last examination.
- Certificate in case the candidate belonging to reserved categories.
- A duly attested recent passport size photograph.
SC/ST/ Physically Handicapped/Children/Widows of killed armed personnel/disabled in action during the hostilities:
These candidates falling need to register with Delhi University.
Reservation of Seats
- 22.5% seats for SC/ST candidates (SC- 15%, ST- 7.5%)
- 5% seats for children/windows of armed personnel killed in action during the hostilities.
- 3% seats for the physically Handicapped Candidate.
Procedure:
- B.A.Sc (Hons.) Courses: The selection is based on merit and a counseling/ interaction session.
Selection Criteria: The minimum eligibility and the required courses studied at Senior Secondary School level as per the courses are as follows:
- Electronics: PCM with at least 60% marks
- Instrumentation: PCM/PCB with at least 60% marks
- Food Technology: PCM/PCB with at least 60% marks
Candidates must have studied chemistry, physics, nd mathematic at the 12th class level. Non-biology student will have to study General biology in their 1st year.
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science: Candidate must have a pass in Senior School Certificate Examination (XII) with Mathematics, from CBSE Board or equivalent in Arts/Commerce/Science.
- 60% or more marks in Mathematics
- 55% or more marks in aggregate
